Acts 15:16-18 confirms that the Tabernacle of David will be restored IN JESUS (the fulfilment of Amos 9:11-12). Once you enter the first veil of the Tabernacle, you see the Incense, the Lampstand and the Table of Showbread. This is the Holy Place. When you go further, you pass a second veil and enter into the Holy of Holies (Most Holy Place).

  1. The Incense – INTERCESSION Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25), Jesus prays for us (John 17:9-10) Jesus prays for the world (John 17:20-24).
  2. The Lampstand – LIGHT OF THE WORLD Jesus is the Light of the world, and is the light of life that shines in us (John 8:12). The Tabernacle was absolutely dark. The Lampstand was the only source of light. Jesus is the only light of the world. UNION we are in him and he is in us (John 14:20). We are to walk in the light (in truth) to have fellowship with each other, and to be cleansed from sin (1 John 1:7)
  3. The Table of Showbread – BREAD OF LIFE Jesus is the bread of life, we never hunger when we come to Jesus (John 6:35) He came down from heaven like manna, and we will live forever if we eat his bread. He gave it for the life of the world (John 6:51-58).
  4. The Second Veil – This is the flesh of Jesus. We are consecrated to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19,20) when his flesh was opened in sacrifice at his death (Matthew 27:51). The veil in the temple actually tore in half when Jesus died.
  5. The Holy of Holies – Jesus entered into the Holy of Holies (the Most Holy place) at his death, being our great high priest, offering himself (Hebrews 7:26-27) bringing HIS OWN BLOOD as consecration for our sins (Hebrews 9:12). Because of this, we have FULL ASSURANCE, that our hearts and bodies are cleansed through Jesus (Hebrews 10:22). The Holy of Holies contains all the things that prove our acceptace with God: The Ark of the Covenant, The Mercy Seat, the pot of manna (bread which came down from heaven), Aaron’s rod that budded with almonds, the 10 Commandments, and the Presence of God’s glory “Shekinah”.
