HEBREW WORDS
YADAH (Strong 3034) – ‘Yad’, an open hand – to revere and worship with extended hands. “Praise the Lord for his mercy endures forever…” To extend hands or throw out hands in worship (2 Chronicles 20:19-21, Psalm 63:4)
TOWDAH (Strong 8426) – From ‘Yadah’, an extension of the hands, “Whoever offers praise glorifies me”, to extend hands in adoration and thanksgiving (Psalm 50:23, 134:2, 141:2)
HALAL (Strong 1984) “Praise ye the Lord” To shine, boast, rave, celebrate, be clamorously foolish. ‘Hallelujah’ (Psalm 150)
